TEDx Talk Chantilly HS Features University and Business Leaders
Exploring the theme “Embrace Change. Ignite the Future.”

Vienna, VA, August 7, 2025 — Alpha Omega CEO Gautam Ijoor will be highlighted at the TEDx Chantilly HS, taking place on August 16, 2025, beginning at 9 a.m. George Mason University’s Jajodia Auditorium. The theme, “Embrace Change. Ignite the Future,” brings together speakers from technology, education, history, and industry to explore the forces shaping our collective future and the convergences of business, research, and technology.

“TEDx Chantilly is about bold ideas and fearless action, and this program is driven by a group of future-focused students at Chantilly High School,” said Gautam Ijoor. “We’re honored to support this conversation around the art and vision of the possible. The 2025 TEDx Chantilly HS speaker lineup includes:

  • Gautam Ijoor, Founder and CEO of Alpha Omega, shares insights on a life of entrepreneurship, harnessing passion for true innovation, and building mission-driven innovation at scale.
  • David Evans – Professor of Computer Science at the University of Virginia, leading research on secure computation and machine learning risk mitigation.
  • Jason Balser – Executive in digital transformation, focused on driving simplicity and impact through technology and asking the right questions.
  • Peter Norton – Associate Professor at UVA, author, and historian of technology and transportation, known for his work on sustainable and equitable urban mobility.
  • Xuesu Xiao – Assistant Professor of Computer Science at George Mason University, leader of RobotiXX Lab, where humans and robots develop intelligent, real-world-ready mobile robots.
  • Aleya Harris – award-winning international speaker, strategic storytelling consultant, mentor, and former chef
  • Ben Laugelli – Associate Professor of Engineering & Society at the University of Virginia, School of Engineering and Applied Science
  • Eric Hunsaker – Filmmaker, Production Expert, and Content Strategist discusses connecting with audiences through authentic storytelling
  • James F. Groves – Engineering faculty member at the University of Virginia, discusses embracing AI’s prosperity promise while also tapping responsibly into larger energy supplies
  • Marlon BaCote – PhD Candidate, MA, CSAC-Supervisee, QMHP-A, RPRS, in Psychology and Counseling, a published author, and an advocate for recovery and criminal justice reform  
  • Mingrui Liu – Assistant Professor, George Mason University, Department of Computer Science, and expert on AI venues, machine learning, optimization, statistical learning theory and deep learning.
  • Saanvi Uppalapati – Rising High School Senior studying ethical AI, environmental health, and innovation. She has conducted research on sustainable machine learning, presented at national science fairs and energy conferences, and is currently building tools to connect pollution exposure to brain health using RNA data.
  • Shalika Kothuri – Rising High School Student with a passion for sports medicine and soccer. As a patent holder and dedicated researcher, she is committed to pioneering advancements in athlete health and injury prevention.
  • Sophie Fang – Rising senior at Oakton High School, Biology student, and researcher on Imposter Syndrome in Asian American families.

The TEDx Chantilly program has been produced by Chantilly High School students Advait Kothuri, lead organizer, and team members Athri Cheboli, Pranav Adivi, Athula Cheboli, Krishiv Chandra, Nikhil Vaidy, Rishi Guharoy, Ved Patil, and Parent Mentor Srinivas Kothuri.
