President and CEO Gautam Ijoor brings an impressive track record of more than two decades of experience in the federal contracting arena to Alpha Omega. As an entrepreneurial-minded business leader, Gautam has achieved consistent success not only in building and growing firms, but also in improving their profitability, performance, and value. He has a demonstrated history of helping businesses expand their presence in the federal market, while exceeding growth and profit objectives. At Alpha Omega, Gautam built an effective and innovative leadership team, helping the company grow from less than $1 million/year in summer 2016 to $130 million/year by 2023. In placing an emphasis on their customers, building a strong culture, and refining their capabilities, Alpha Omega created a foundation for growth that has consistently propelled them into the Inc. 5000, Washington Technology’s Fast 50, and the Northern Virginia Chamber of Commerce’s Fantastic 50 in recent years.
Prior to joining Alpha Omega, Gautam was the COO of C3 Systems, where he led the company from startup to $16M per year in revenue, and from 1 to 110 employees in four years. Prior to C3 Systems, he served as VP of Operations, Business Development and Capture Strategy at QSSI, where he helped grow the firm through three acquisitions and increased his division’s revenue by more than 300% in eight years. Gautam earned an M.S. from the New Jersey Institute of Technology, an MBA from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business, and is a certified Project Management Professional.
As Chief Operating Officer, Eric Laychock manages profit and loss across all Alpha Omega Business Units and Customer Success operations to align teams for stronger integration, elevated service delivery, and people-centric focus. Eric brings over 15 years of federal experience and is known as a passionate servant leader, introducing new technologies and capabilities and scaling them across teams and organizations. He joins us from KPMG, where – most recently as a managing director – he played a crucial role in helping grow its overall federal business to $500+ million and held key positions including leadership within the Federal Healthcare practice and oversight of the Federal Workday portfolio. Eric has deep experience across client services, including project/portfolio manager, account lead, capability lead, business development, people management, and operations.
In earlier career-shaping roles, Eric worked in consulting positions at Booz Allen Hamilton and in the pharmaceutical industry. He is a Project Management Professional (PMP) with many certifications including ITIL, certified Scrum Master, and SAFe Agilist. Eric earned his MBA at George Washington University and his bachelor’s in business administration at Lebanon Valley College.
As Chief Financial Officer, David Walls leads Alpha Omega’s financial organization and partners with executive leadership to strengthen performance management, advance long-term growth strategy, and ensure disciplined execution as the company continues to scale across priority national security missions.
David is a proven finance leader with deep experience supporting complex federal businesses and guiding organizations through pivotal growth moments. He brings nearly two decades of experience spanning M&A, defense, and federal contracting, including multiple private equity-backed growth cycles. Throughout his career, he has worked closely with private equity sponsors, venture and growth investors, and banking partners to structure capital, strengthen financial governance, and accelerate value creation. Most recently, he served as Managing Director – CFO Advisory at Maximus Partners and CFO of Valkyrie Enterprises and McKean Defense Group.
In this pivotal chapter of growth and maturation for Alpha Omega, David will help balance risk with goals, strengthen planning and forecasting, support integration of growth initiatives and opportunities, and deepen partner relationships—positioning the company to scale efficiently, compete in a dynamic GovCon market, and invest with confidence in innovation, capability development, and mission delivery for its federal customers.
Chief Growth Officer (CGO) Mike Deutsch is an experienced growth executive with more than 20 years of government contracting knowledge. Mike’s Federal market experience includes an intense focus on building companies that support vital digital transformation needs within the Government. A key contributor to Aquilent’s growth prior to their acquisition by Booz Allen Hamilton in 2016, Mike also served as the CGO of CollabraLink Technologies, before they were acquired by Washington Harbour Partners in late 2021.
Mike’s proven track record of building high-performing teams oriented around market-leading digital transformation capabilities enables Alpha Omega to deliver exceptional customer experience to our Federal agency partners and continues to propel Alpha Omega into our next phase of evolution within the full & open space.
Nitin Vartak has more than 19 years of experience in technology solutions, digital strategies, and management across federal and commercial sectors. He has designed and implemented technical solutions for healthcare, financial, and consumer industries across Asia and the Americas. His federal experience includes the Department of Health and Human Services CMS & HRSA, Veterans Affairs, Department of Transportation, Department of Housing and Urban Development, Department of Education, Department of Commerce NOAA, and Department of Agriculture whereas his commercial customers included Stock Exchange in Japan and Bancolombia in Latin America.
Prior to joining Alpha Omega, Mr. Vartak led the technology practice centers and CTO Solutions Organization for successful small business with focus on federal government. His continued dedication contributed to the one of the company’s explosive growth from 2007 onwards. Mr. Vartak is actively involved in constructing company’s core competencies through technology practice centers and focused on developing disruptive solutions for unfulfilled needs in federal government, developing solutions through research and building MVPs. He also provides Multi-cloud and DevSecOps solution support for Alpha Omega’s engagements in NOAA, Dept. of State and DHS.
Nitin Vartak holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Mumbai. He is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), Amazon Web Services Architect, and Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) practitioner.
Chief Human Resources Officer Tanja Guerra is an experienced strategic talent and culture leader, with over 20 years of professional experience in both enterprise-wide and consultative business partner roles. Tanja was most recently the Parsons Corporation VP of Human Resources Defense & Intelligence Market. Prior to the Parsons Corporation, Tanja worked at SAIC as the VP, Human Resources for the Defense and Civilian Market as well as lead the Enterprise Talent and Leadership Development organization.
Before that she was part of Engility Corporation through its acquisition to SAIC, and she began her career at CACI International as an intern. Tanja received her bachelor’s degree in international business from the College of Charleston, SC and numerous certifications including the Harvard Kennedy School in Executive Education and the Wharton Executive Education CHRO Program. She is currently a member of the Virginia Chamber of Commerce Workforce and Education Executive Committee.
Deepak Hathiramani is the founding partner and executive chairman of SteeleHarbour Capital Partners, a real estate investment firm focused on middle‑market strategic equity, preferred equity and debt investments. He is also the founder and managing director of Hathi Partners LLC, a family office investment firm focused on alternative investments including private equity and venture capital. In 1990, Deepak founded Vistronix Intelligence and Technology Solutions – a national security solutions provider – and served as its chairman, CEO and president until 2016 when it was acquired by Arctic Slope Regional Corporation (ASRC) Federal Holding Company. By that time, Vistronix had transformed to a leading middle-market cyber, analytics, signal processing, cloud computing, and big data management software and systems solutions provider with revenues exceeding $170 million and more than 700 employees.
Deepak has more than 25 years’ experience working with high-tech startups, including Nx Networks (Netrix Corporation) and Cinnabar Software. This complements his more than 20 years’ experience serving as a member on Boards of Directors and Advisors. This includes for Blue Delta Capital Partners, Aanika Biosciences Inc., Northern Virginia Technology Council, The University of Texas at Austin’s Department of Computer Science, George Mason University’s Volgenau School of Engineering, the Professional Services Council, American Council for Technology – Industry Advisory Council, and the Virginia Technology Alliance. Deepak earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Bombay. A life-long learner, he recently earned a certificate in Walkable Urban Development from George Washington University to accompany many business executive certificates from Dartmouth College.
Manish Agarwal is a successful entrepreneur with extensive leadership experience at Fortune 500 firms.
Manish’s is a change agent with an impressive, professional background includes developing forward-leaning business models to leverage Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and data science. Over the last 25 year years, government and commercial clients around the world have engaged Manish in a variety of leadership roles in areas related to transformational change, growing new uses of technology, and ensuring extraordinary customer experiences. He was formerly a vice president and managing partner at Unisys Corporation and a partner at KPMG Consulting.
Until its acquisition in March 2021, Manish was a Founding Member and President of Attain, a technology and management consulting firm. He cut his teeth in the entrepreneurial arena years ago leading a business intelligence software startup until its successful divestiture with a positive return to shareholders.
Manish holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from Pune University in India.
Marybeth Wootton is an operational and technical leader with more than 30 years of experience across the federal and commercial sectors. She has a proven track record in global business operations, technology strategy, mergers & acquisitions, delivering accelerated growth and business transformation.
Marybeth brings broad experience as a board member and advisor to rapidly growing, highly technical companies. Currently she serves as an advisor for several private companies and one private equity firm. In addition, she is currently a Board Member of a commercial company, and Chairperson for a private company providing solutions to federal defense and intelligence agencies. She has served as Secretary of the Board for a public company on the New York Stock Exchange.
Previously Marybeth was a board member, owner, and CEO of Berico Technologies where she built a high-performing team delivering software development and cloud engineering solutions to the intelligence community. She and her team grew revenues nearly 800% in five years and won more than $200M of prime contracts. She also supported Berico’s founders with several divestitures, spawning five other successful technology start-ups, three of which were subsequently acquired. She led the sale of Berico Technologies to Novetta, a Carlyle Group company, and subsequently served as Vice President at Novetta after supporting the integration of her company into that business. In 2018, she was recognized as the Greater Washington GovCon Executive of the Year for companies up to $75 million.
Prior to joining Novetta and Berico, Marybeth held senior executive positions at BAE Systems, IBM, and PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC) where she supported global initiatives. new business investments and acquisitions, business development, and technical program delivery. In these roles, she has led programs and accounts for intelligence and defense leaders, and with Fortune 100 companies in the Financial Services, Insurance, and Pharmaceutical sectors.
Marybeth has an MBA in Finance from The Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania, and a B.S. in Economics from Harvard University.
