Leading the Next Era of Federal Health IT

Federal health agencies face growing pressure to modernize — securely, efficiently, and equitably. From advancing data interoperability to protecting sensitive information, the mission is clear: build smarter, more agile Health IT ecosystems that serve citizens, veterans, and service members alike.

At Alpha Omega, we’re not just part of this transformation — we’re helping lead it. Our teams work at the intersection of innovation, cybersecurity, and mission outcomes, aligning modernization efforts with the real-world needs of agencies like HHS, VA, and DHA.

Driving the National Dialogue on Health IT Transformation

Alpha Omega is shaping how industry and government collaborate to accelerate health IT modernization.

At the AFCEA Bethesda Health IT Summit 2025, I served on the planning committee and introduced the Acquisition Panel — a conversation on how government, academia, and industry can rethink procurement to make innovation faster and more mission-aligned.

At DHA’s Defense Health Information Technology Symposium (DHITS), our team showcased AI-enabled analytics and automation solutions that enhance clinical readiness and improve decision-making across the Defense Health ecosystem.

These events highlight a growing truth: Health IT modernization isn’t just about new tools — it’s about new thinking. Alpha Omega is helping lead that mindset shift by aligning AI, automation, and data modernization to mission outcomes that matter most — readiness, interoperability, and quality of care.

Connecting Civilian, Defense, and Veteran Health Missions

Transformation is accelerating across all corners of federal health. The $14B VA Integrated Healthcare Transformation (IHT) 2.0 program underscores the government’s commitment to scaling modernization and improving the veteran experience. Alpha Omega proudly supports this mission, applying expertise across defense and civilian health to strengthen interoperability and streamline care delivery.

On the civilian side, Alpha Omega’s partnership with the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) demonstrates how data-driven modernization directly improves lives. Through the Data Webpages and Analytic initiative, we’re supporting SAMHSA’s mission to promote mental health, prevent substance misuse, and expand access to evidence-based care.

Our approach blends cloud modernization, cybersecurity, and human-centered design — ensuring that every solution supports secure data sharing, operational efficiency, and equitable access to care.

Because in Health IT, technology doesn’t drive change — people do.

Empowering the Health Workforce of the Future

Innovation in federal health isn’t just about systems; it’s about the workforce that powers them. At the ACT-IAC Health Innovation Summit, Alpha Omega leaders joined national experts to explore how data and technology are redefining readiness and workforce strategy.

In a fireside chat, Dr. Angela Wilson, Alpha Omega’s EVP of Business Development, joined Kris Saling, U.S. Army talent innovation strategist, to discuss Data-Driven Talent Management — reinforcing that empowering people with insight is the foundation of modern readiness.

Meanwhile, Todd Hager, Vice President of the Health Business Unit, participated in “Smarter Systems, Leaner Teams: Planning the Health Workforce of the Future.” The panel emphasized inclusivity in design — balancing efficiency and usability for a multigenerational workforce spanning six user demographics.

Our focus on user-centered design and digital accessibility ensures that modernization isn’t one-size-fits-all — it’s mission-ready for everyone who relies on it.

Shaping What’s Next in Health IT

Alpha Omega stands where innovation, mission, and impact converge. By bridging defense and civilian health, we deliver secure, interoperable, and data-driven systems that transform operations and outcomes.

Whether leading industry conversations, implementing AI and automation to improve readiness, or driving cloud-enabled interoperability across HHS and VA, Alpha Omega continues to strengthen the nation’s health systems — from the inside out.

We’re not waiting for the future of Health IT to arrive. We’re helping build it — one system, one insight, and one mission at a time.
